Thomas Schenkel, CFA
Thomas got his start in the investment business with BMO Nesbitt Burns as a research analyst in the Equity Research Department. At BMO, he honed his research skills and was duly recognized as a nationally ranked Special Situations Analyst.
In 2001, Thomas moved on to become a Partner and Portfolio Manager for one of Canada's original hedge funds -- Epic Capital Management Inc. Thomas and his team grew the business from $1M AUM to nearly $300M AUM over 5 years.
Over the next decade, Thomas was Partner at Beechwood Asset Management Inc. and Lightwater Partners Ltd., where he would oversee the research, growth and success of several high-profile Canadian Funds.
Thomas brings more than 20 years of private equity and asset management experience to Bamberg Capital.
He holds a BA (Honours) in Economics from Queens University, an MA in Business Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a CFA designation.
